Ministry of Education Launches Humanitarian Initiative to Visit Elderly Care Home in Karbala During Ramadan

The Ministry of Education, through its ministerial team “Educate Yourself Legally,” has launched a humanitarian initiative by visiting the Elderly Care Home in Karbala Governorate. The visit aimed to convey Ramadan greetings to the residents and to assess their living and service conditions, reflecting the ministry’s commitment to social responsibility and strengthening partnerships with social care institutions.
The delegation was led by Legal Advisor Khairiya Mahdi Al-Saleh, accompanied by Professor Dr. Jawad Dhaia Al-Muslimani, Assistant Director General for Technical Affairs, and Legal Officer Falah Hussein Askar, Director of the Legal Affairs Department in the governorate, along with several team members from the fields of law and education.
The visit included on-site monitoring of the care home’s needs, distribution of symbolic gifts to residents, and discussion of legal cases, particularly those involving individuals with unknown identities, in coordination with the Iraqi Ministry of Interior. This effort aims to regularize their legal status and strengthen social protection coverage for them.
The delegation emphasized that this initiative aligns with the ministry’s vision to enhance the human dimension of institutional work and to promote a culture of support and care for social security beneficiaries, in harmony with educational and national values during the holy month of Ramadan.
